I like Del’s location photos quite a bit. I’m curious though, is the focus vignette a post effect or is the lens on some sort of special setup?

I’m glad that Chris is now able to post this. It’s a really neat and funny film we shot last January on the RED. The camera used is of course not the sole attraction, but I fucking love beautiful black and white filmmaking. Also working with a crazy-hard tilt shift lens was pretty neat.
After 10 months, my short film KRANTZ has officially passed through the festival circuit.* Two festivals, a screenplay nomination, and a best supporting actor award later, here it is, in its black & white glory!
I’ve been really wanting to show everyone this film for quite a while—I’m really proud of it, and I hope you enjoy it.
With cinematography and VFX work by the wonder boys of Ghostlight, some killer sweet focus-pulling by Brad Conlin, and additional editing by comedy prodigy Scott Gairdner. Makeup and wardrobe by scary good Elizabeth Prokopiak. Starring Will Greenberg from Summer of Tears. In two roles.
